What Is Manifesting, Really?

Let’s begin with a quick refresher. Manifesting is more than just wishing for something and waiting for it to appear. It's the process of aligning your thoughts, feelings, beliefs, and actions with your desires so that they can become your reality. That alignment includes your energy levels, which play a crucial, and often overlooked, role.

Energy 101: What Do We Mean by Energy?

Energy is the invisible life force that flows through all things, including you. Just like your phone needs a charge to operate, you need energy to think, feel, move, and create. This energy is not only physical (like food and rest), but also emotional, mental, and spiritual.

Every thought, belief, or emotion you hold carries a vibration. Think of walking into a room where people just argued… you can feel the tension. That’s energy. Your personal energy field reflects how much life force you have available to create and receive.

What Is Energy Economics?

Energy Economics is the concept of treating your energy like currency. You need to have enough "funds" (energy) to make a purchase (manifestation). Every day, you receive a certain amount of energy from Source — the Universe, God, Spirit, or Life Force. How you use that energy depends on your lifestyle, choices, and unconscious patterns. If your energy is constantly depleted, you won’t have the reserves needed to fuel your conscious creation practice.

The Hidden Energy Drains You Might Be Ignoring

1. Energetic & Soul-Level Depletion

  • Soul Loss: A piece of your essence disconnects due to trauma or emotional overwhelm.

  • Living Out of Alignment: When your job, relationship, or path doesn’t resonate with your soul’s true desires.

  • Timing with Healing Modalities: While beneficial, modalities like past-life regression or trauma healing use a lot of energy. Timing and strategy is key.

2. Emotional and Mental Stressors

  • Fight, Flight, Freeze Responses: Chronic stress keeps your nervous system in survival mode.

  • Replaying Traumas: Constantly thinking about painful experiences depletes your energy field.

  • Movement (yoga, walking, embodiment practices)

  • Quality sleep and whole-food nutrition

  • Laughing, creating, and experiencing joy

It’s also helpful to avoid hyper-focusing on specific desires when your energy is low. Doing so can create attachment, which repels the very thing you want. Instead, focus on the feeling behind the desire. For example, if you’re manifesting love, focus on feeling safe and connected in your daily life first.

  • What gave me energy today?

  • What drained me?
